Shutdown: An Android App to Lock and Turn Off Screen
Shutdown is a free personalization app developed by Utilities Soft that allows you to lock and turn off the screen of your Android device. It is designed to let you unlock your device using your fingerprint without violating the security policy that requires a PIN to unlock. In addition to that, Shutdown Click can also be assigned as the Assist App of your device, which can be activated by long-pressing the Home key.
The app offers a variety of features such as screen off animation, screen lock/unlock sound effect, screen off vibration, notification, floating button over all apps, and a search button (if your device has it). The floating button is similar to Facebook's chat head feature, which allows you to turn off the screen from anywhere.
Note that if you cannot see the screen off animation even after reinstalling the app, you need to follow certain procedures depending on the Android version of your device. For Android 4.x, you need to go to "Setting > Developer options > Transition animation" and select 1x for this option. For Android 2.x, make sure you have selected the option "All animations" under "Settings > Display > Animation". It is also important to note that this app uses the Device Administrator permission.
